All aboard for North Tyneside's Small Business Awards
The search is on to find the best small businesses in the borough at the annual North Tyneside Small Business Awards, sponsored by North Tyneside Council.
The awards will take place on Friday 3 April at the Village Hotel and the organisers are looking to reward those small businesses that have made big contributions to the local economy and to celebrate their achievements and successes.
Prizes will be given in five separate categories: Manufacturing, Retail, Service, Business Start-up and Young Entrepreneur. Winners from each category are then automatically entered for the overall award. All category winners receive a cash reward, certificate and trophy, as well as public recognition for their hard work.
Frank Lott, North Tyneside Council’s cabinet member for Economy and Employment, said: “These awards are a great opportunity to highlight the hard work and successes of our small firms. They honour the innovation local businesses have shown in defiance of current economic troubles and reward the efforts of those who have succeeded in spite of these difficulties.”
The competition is open to any business based in North Tyneside, which has been trading for at least six months and has less than 100 employees. For further information go to www.northtyneside.gov.uk. The closing date for applications is Friday 20 February.
