Sunderland hosts Tyne and Wear property show
Sunderland’s Stadium of Light is to host the North’s biggest commercial property show in 2009.
The Tyne and Wear Commercial Property Show - organised by investment agency Tyne and Wear Development Company - will take place at the football club on Thursday 19 March.
The event brings together the region’s leading property professionals, developers, local authorities and business support organisations to provide advice and support on commercial property in Tyne and Wear.
The showcase provides potential investors with an opportunity to find out about investment opportunities, available sites, details of the rental market, how to finance property deals and business support services.
Paul Buie, manager of Tyne and Wear Development Company said: “For property professionals and businesses this is an important date in the diary and the biggest commercial property event in the region.
“There’s no doubt that, like everywhere else, commercial property activity in the region has slowed in the downturn but firms still need property. For businesses thinking of moving there are still opportunities and incentives in the market and this is the best place to access all the support and services available.
“One of the advantages of Tyne and Wear is that it boasts a wide ranging portfolio of commercial property. We’re fortunate to enjoy so many world class-facilities from top-end business parks with large scale office and industrial premises to more flexible units and offices for smaller businesses.”
