Gardener and gorilla to give the region marketing advice
North East companies are being offered a helping hand from unusual sources as a gardener and a gorilla join forces for an upcoming event.
The Business Link event, Marketing the art of, has announced that the speakers for this years event will be Chief Executive and co-founder of the Eden Project, Tim Smit, and the UK Chief Executive of Saatchi & Saatchi, Robert Senior.
Tim Smit is a former music producer turned gardener, who founded Cornwall’s Eden Project and turned it into one of Britain’s most popular tourist destinations.
Robert Senior was appointed UK Chief Executive of the newly formed Saatchi & Saatchi and Fallon (SSF Group) in August 2007, and was formerly CEO and founding partner at Fallon London. The agency was responsible for ads such as Cadbury’s Gorilla, the Skoda Car-Cake and Sony Bravia TVs.
Julie Spowart, Events Manager at Business & Enterprise North East, which delivers the Business Link service, said: “Bringing two headline speakers of this calibre to the region for the first time is very exciting.
