Stockton firm sees 10% Advance
A Stockton telecommunications company has increased its turnover by almost 10% despite a slowdown in its industry.
Advanced Communications UK LTD - which provides manpower and expertise in the telecommunications industry - has seen turnover increase from £600,000 to £650,000.
Co-director, Ian Ritchie said: “When Billy Pattison and I started the business five years ago we knew that to be leaders in our field we had to have the best staff on board and equip them with the greatest knowledge possible.
“This has had a huge impact on our business as no matter what size the project is, we have engineers that can get the job done well and quickly. Consequently, we up-skill all our engineers at the earliest opportunity.”
This investment has paid dividends in the form of regular work from companies such as Bailey Teswaine, Tyco Electronics and Cornerstone Business Solutions.
“Our plan for the next six months is to move into new markets and expand our team by at least another two new members of staff,” said Mr Ritchie.
The company currently employs five staff, and subcontracts work to more than 30 freelance contractors on a monthly basis.
“We know what our core business is and fully believe if we look after them they will look after us. It is a traditional business philosophy but in this competitive marketplace it is crucial to be indispensable to clients and meet their needs first and foremost.”
