Food and flowers from Teesside
A fine food firm that has been sending luxury hampers all over the world for more than a century has teamed up with a regional floristry firm.
Lewis and Cooper produces thousands of hampers each year from its base in Northallerton, selling via the internet as well as from its store in Yarm.
Earlier this year it was approached by customer Russ Sawdon, who established Flowerhouse from scratch six years ago, and now has branches in Hartburn, Stockton, and Acklam, in Middlesbrough.
The two have now established Lewis and Cooper at Flowerhouse.
Mr Sawdon said: “Flowers are not always appropriate – for example for many male recipients.
“We have long loved Lewis and Cooper’s fabulous offering of good food and drink, so were delighted with the range of 15 exclusive gift packs and hampers their team put together for us.
“Now, when someone rings up wanting something by way of a thank you, or perhaps to say sorry when something has gone wrong, we can offer an alternative to the more traditional floral bouquet.”
Victoria Howard, Lewis and Cooper’s general manager, said: “We were delighted to be approached by Russell to put together a special range for Flowerhouse.
“It was immediately apparent that our businesses value the importance of supplying top quality products at competitive prices, combined with the best possible service.”
