No more lost in translation thanks to Entrust
A start-up company aiming to help Polish residents in the North East with their translation needs is getting off to a successful start.
Polish HR specialist and translator Ania Retkowska is offering translation of personal and professional documentation for Polish people in the region.
Ania is currently studying an MA in Human Resource Management at Newcastle University and finishes her course later this month. Ania currently works part time as an Administrative Assistant and freelancer helping Polish residents in the North East with translating everyday information and paperwork that enables them to live and work in the region.
She received support in setting up her business through Entrust’s FIN programme
Ania said: “Polish people are often taken advantage of when they can’t fully interpret situations that use complicated language. This covers lots of areas of daily life from employment rights; family law and contracts to do with residency.
“I am passionate about filling this niche market need for Polish interpretation coupled with general citizen’s advice, from a professional point of view, but also from a personal point of view. Helping Polish people in the North East to have an easier life gives me a great sense of purpose and satisfaction.
“Advice from FIN has helped me to turn an idea into reality and allowed me to formalise and professionalise my offer to Polish people. I have also benefited from advice on business development which will be vital as I take the next steps to setting up a successful business.”
Jonathan Dowden, Start-up Manager at Entrust, said: “FIN is a dynamic programme which provides intensive support covering all elements involved in starting up a business from planning, to marketing, premises and costs. We work with individuals to assess their needs and connect them to relevant services including lawyers, accountants and tax specialists. We can also look at potential sources of finance and advise on the best solutions for our business.”
