The Rock appoints new CFO
Northern Rock has appointed Jim McConville, formerly of bailed-out lender Lloyds Banking Group, as its chief financial officer.
McConville was formerly the finance director of Lloyds’ Scottish Widows life insurance business and will take up his new post on April 8, the firm said on yesterday.
Last week Northern Rock announced plans to pay out £14.9m in staff bonuses as it revealed losses in 2009 of £257m, compared to £1.4bn the previous year.
