Sunderland company lands Italian job
A NORTH East audio company has made a major breakthrough into the Italian market after it was confirmed that its equipment will be installed in a international sports stadium.
Sunderland-based Current Thinking has established a link with the Proel Group based in Sant’Omero, Italy—with the first project involving the upgrading of the facilities at the Stadio Adriatico in Pescara.
Current Thinking will be supplying Proel its advanced Voice alarm systems.
Managing director Anthony Smith, said: “This is a good deal for both companies, Proel get some of the latest voice alarm equipment, and we get access to Proel’s worldwide network of sales and distribution outlet.
“Proel was chosen to provide the Voice Alarm and video screens for the Pescara Stadium in preparation for the Mediterranean Games for which we supplied them with the Voice Alarm amplification and control systems.
“It once again underlines the ability of our systems to meet the increasingly high safety requirements for major public venues—our equipment was, of course, chosen for the redevelopment of the world’s most famous tennis centre at Wimbledon.”
Current Thinking equipment has been installed in many developments and buildings in the UK as well as Dublin Airport and a number of Dubai’s skyscrapers.
