Soaring start to airport plan
A CAMPAIGN to strengthen the links between Durham Tees Valley Airport and the region’s business community has taken flight.
Over 50 companies from across the North East gathered at Middlesbrough’s Riverside Stadium for the launch of the airport’s ‘Travel Pledge’ initiative where businesses commit to making Durham Tees Valley their first choice for travel wherever possible.
Amongst the first signatories for the Pledge were a number of large local engineering and technology companies, including ABB Engineering and Tracerco together with Middlesbrough Football Club and Weston Aviation —support welcomed by the Airport’s recently-appointed new Director Mike Morton.
