Work starts on site at Washington development
WORK has started at Keepmoat Homes’ Lambton Mews £2m development in Washington.
The work will see the creation of 17 two and three bedroomed homes, all for private sale with prices starting from just £97,745.
Heading up the site team is newly promoted construction manager, Mark Binns, who has been working with Keepmoat Homes for four years.
He said: “This is an exciting new development for Keepmoat Homes and it is great to be developing back on Wearside. The ground works are complete, the first foundations are already in and we anticipate the first properties will be available to move into in the New Year.”
“This is the first site I have managed in my new post and I think it will go some way to addressing the need for quality, affordable housing within the area.”
The return to Wearside is part of an ambitious expansion by Keepmoat Homes North East.
In 2009/10 the company built and sold 274 dwellings and this year plans to increase its business to over 400 new homes.
