New business forum ‘key’ to North Tyneside recovery
NORTH TYNESIDE’S Elected Mayor has tipped the borough’s new Business Forum to help the area make a strong recovery from the recession.
The new scheme will be unveiled at an event in Tynemouth on September 16, when over 100 of the borough’s employers will come together to celebrate.
It has been established by North Tyneside Council in partnership with the business community provide businesses with an advice network where they can channel their views into the decision-making process on issues relating to business, employment and the local economy.
“The launch of the Business Forum next month is an important milestone for this borough,” said Elected Mayor, Linda Arkley.
“As we fight back from the impact of an international recession we need to ensure that the Council and our borough businesses create a partnership that can drive forward future economic success.”
International speaker and marketing guru, Geoff Ramm will lead the first Business Forum and a ‘flipchart road show’ will give employers the opportunity to pitch to their colleagues and raise their profile in a supportive and innovative approach.
