Major coup for North East firm
A GLOBAL retail group which operates in 44 countries and has annual sales of £9.3b has appointed a North East accountancy firm to its supplier list.
Tait Walker, based in Gosforth, has secured its place on the preferred supplier list to provide Associated British Foods PLC (ABF) with private investigation services.
Brands under the umbrella of ABF include high street chain Primark, Jordan’s cereal, Silver Spoon sugar and Blue Dragon Chinese sauces.
Frank Nesbitt, Tait Walker’s forensic services manager, said: “This appointment clearly demonstrates that regional companies, with the right level of resource and expertise, should not be deterred from aiming high and looking to work with global operators such as ABF.
“Over the past few years, Tait Walker has responded to client demand and invested heavily in building an in-house forensic investigation team.”
In addition to this latest appointment by ABF, Tait Walker is also working in partnership with specialist security company, BDI CCTV, based in Wakefield, to provide further support to the retail group.
