Accountancy firm embarks on recruitment drive
A NORTH EAST accountancy firm has strengthened its team with the appointment of four new members of staff.
Gateshead-based Bell Anderson Chartered Accountants welcomes Accounts Supervisor, David Mann, Audit and Accounts Manager Leanne Cooke, and Accounts Assistants Collette Newton and Peter Wright to their team.
The appointments follow the firm’s recent announcement of the launch of BLA Consulting, the newest arm of the business, specialising in profit and wealth improvement and tax solutions, and building on the high quality accountancy services already offered by Bell Anderson.
David Mann, joined Bell Anderson on August 2 from Beach Accountants in South Shields where he worked as Accounts Assistant for 18months.
Leanne Cooke, 31, joined the firm on June 1, on a part-time basis, having worked full time for herself at Leanne Cooke Accounting since 2006. Both bring solid expertise to Bell Anderson’s rapidly expanding team.
Joining with them, Collette Newton, 24, follows Leanne to the business, having worked for her as Accounts Assistant since 2009. School- leaver Peter Wright, 18, joins Bell Anderson this month for one year, to gain valuable experience before he plans to study for a degree in accounts and finance next year.
The new appointments will assist in the day-to-day running of Bell Anderson Accountants and its associated firm BLA Consulting.
Michael Anderson, partner at Bell Anderson, said: “This is the start of a very exciting time for Bell Anderson. The new additions to our team will be vital in allowing us to move forward and develop new services to benefit our expanding client base.
“We are delighted to welcome David, Leanne, Collette and Peter to our team and look forward to working with them and to the contributions they will make.”
