Homeless man with golden voice becomes internet sensation
Homeless man Ted Williams has been given a second chance at a career due to a YouTube video demonstrating his amazing radio presenter voice.
Mr Williams from Brooklyn New York was filmed by a reporter from the Columbus Dispatch standing near a Columbus highway ramp demonstrating his silky tones while holding a sign that asks motorists for help.
He says he is an ex-radio announcer who has fallen on hard times through drug and alcohol problems but has been sober for two years.
The video on YouTube where he demonstrates his deep, smooth voice was at one point today receiving a million hits an hour.
Columbus radio station WNCI is reported to have booked him to appear tomorrow morning and says ESPN and MTV have expressed interest.
The Ohio Credit Union League has also offered Williams $10,000 (£6,470) for voice work, according to The Columbus Dispatch.
