New Year, new home, new jobs
A new £6million care home in the region is set to create over 70 new jobs.
North East care home provider Hadrian Healthcare Group will develop the 70-bedroom care home in Whickham, Gateshead.
Situated on Whickham bank, Manor House will provide five-star luxury accommodation and will host a traditional-style newspaper and sweet shop, a fully equipped resident’s bar and a cinema room.
Hadrian Healthcare, Managing Director, Jas Gill, said: “As a group, we are not only passionate about providing the very best in care, but in keeping employment and trade within each location, using only local suppliers of fresh meat and vegetables as well as tradesmen and skilled experienced care home staff.”
The Manor House is the latest development of the group’s Manor House Living brand which will see the development open its doors to residents in March.
It will be the first of two new care homes that Hadrian Healthcare Group will open during 2011 with plans to see a further three open in the North of England by the end of 2012.
