New contract wins for AECOM
A North East-based engineering consultancy has announced a string of contract wins for its Newcastle office as it looks to cement a stronghold in the market.
AECOM has been appointed by Stockland, a leading diversified property group, to provide services advice and prepare tender documents for the redevelopment of retail units in Billingham Town Centre.
In a second appointment, AECOM has been selected by Gateshead NHS Trust to provide mechanical and electrical services for the refurbishment of the Elmwood Building at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The building will undergo a change in use, from care home to palliative care, with offices being built on the first floor of the building.
Keith Armstrong, regional director for the firm, said: “I am delighted that the Newcastle office has won contracts in the retail and healthcare sector, which is testament to our experience of working with commercial project clients and the NHS alike.”
The latest contract wins follow AECOM’s current success in the education sector where the Newcastle office team is working on an a portfolio of projects.
