Readers call for more green action
On the day that the first Nissan-made electric vehicle was officially sold in the UK, we asked you what you thought about the Government’s policy on supporting low carbon initiatives such as green transport.
Last week the coalition pumped £10m in funding into three research projects that will lead to the development of hybrid electric vehicles and more efficient models.
But only 38% of voters said that the current government has given adequate support to low carbon innovations since coming into power.
52% said they had not while 10% said they believed Cameron’s leadership had brought early signs of promise in terms of supporting a low carbon economy, but more action was needed.
