TEDCO centre goes green
Enterprise firm TEDCO is giving its Jarrow workspace centre a ‘green’ facelift as it looks to attract more small firms and people starting up in business.
The business centre on Viking Business Park opened in September 1994 and has since helped hundreds of businesses launch and grow.
Staff at the centre decided to implement the revamp to improve the facilities for existing tenants and provide a more welcoming atmosphere for new businesses looking for a home.
Under the upgrading project, TEDCO has redecorated all the areas in brighter recycled paint and is creating new ‘break out’ areas for tenants to meet and relax in.
Business centre manager Hilary Woolard said: “The centre will be 18 years old this year and while a good standard of décor has been maintained, we felt the time was right to give the centre a well earned facelift.
“TEDCO will continue to offer all its tenants on-site business support and advice to help them grow and create employment which is at the heart of what the organisation has done successfully for nearly 30 years.”
