Berghaus explores Russian market
Sunderland outdoor firm Berghaus has signed a distribution agreement that will see the brand being introduced into Russia for the first time.
The deal is with a company called LVB, which is part of the JamilCo Group and is one of the largest distributours of casual fashion brands in Russia..
The firm owns and operates more than 50 single-branded stores in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, and Rostov-on-Don.
Through this agreement, LVB now has exclusive rights to sell and promote Berghaus products in Russia, through existing retailers and in mono-brand stores.
Richard Leedham, Berghaus vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), said: “We have found an excellent partner in the JamilCo Group.
“The team there has a deep understanding of the Russian market and has quickly built up an excellent appreciation of the Berghaus brand and our products.”
JamilCo Group say they have ambitious plans for Berghaus and aim to quickly establish demand for the Extrem and Mountain ranges in the rapidly growing Russian outdoor market.
