Business Link funding still available
Business Link is encouraging companies interested in applying for support to take advantage of the extension of the funding deadline.
The Innovation and Guidance Fund in available to any new and existing businesses in the region. If a company meets Business Link’s criteria, it will then help them identify opportunities and changes, to encourage their development and growth.
As well as providing advice on improving any area of the business, Business Link can also provide funding to supplement a company’s initial investment.
One business that has greatly benefited from Business Link funding is Tees Valley Butchers Newboulds.
Working alongside Business Link, the local Butcher was able to develop an e-commerce strategy to increase their presence nationally. While the company already had a website, the company received advice on search engine optimisation, refinements to the website as well as e-commerce tracking.
Ruth Conner, marketing manager said: “Our site mainly focuses on our high-quality fresh meats, and people now buy our locally sourced products from all over the country, complementing our High Street presence.
“Thanks to the support from Business Link we have increased visitors to our website and our conversation rate has gone up.”
