DTZ record positive progress
The Newcastle wing of DTZ has issued their annual report, showing a year of positive progress for the global property experts.
While many of the Regions Outside London endured mixed trading conditions, the Newcastle office still managed to make a strong contribution with increased revenues per Director.
The company specialises in practical advice and hands-on delivery to investors, developers and corporate occupiers in the commercial property sector.
Tony Hordon, Head of DTZ’s office in Newcastle said: “While the Group’s full year results report a small loss before tax and in exceptional items of £0.6 million, the 2010/2011 financial year has been one of significant progress for DTZ.
“The ongoing improvements being made to the business have contributed to a much stronger second half performance, ahead of revised market expectations, with profit before tax and exceptional items improvements of £5.4 million since H1.”
The company has also benefited from a number of contracts with high profile clients. DTZ will now manage the Blade Portfolio, including The Gate complex in Newcastle, as well as providing property advice to Newcastle City Council. An agreement with North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Trusts has also been extended to run until 2014.
