Unemployment inspires new business idea
A former company manager in Stockton has bounced back from redundancy by setting up an online business to help others into work.
Jason Rackley set up Compareapplications.co.uk after discovering how difficult it was to find and apply for jobs.
The new site will help both job seekers and employers by consolidating thousands of job application forms into one site. This will save applicants time and will also allow employers to find the best talents for theit business.
Mr Rackley said: “I feel great that I went ahead and made the site as no one has done this before and it’s a totally new concept in Internet job searching.
“It is going to take time to build up awareness but we are already increasing our unique users everyday.”
As well as hosting application forms and adverts, the site will also host a new ‘web airing’ service, which will allow employers to conduct virtual video interviews online.
Jason is also hoping that the site will eventually expand out of the North East into the rest of the UK and Europe
