Chinese delegation comes to Newcastle
A delegation from the Chinese business community visited the North East yesterday, in a bid to boost links between the two regions.
Businesspeople from Hunan Province visited Newcastle based rexboxdesign architectural group, where the delegates were given the opportunity to witness the possibilities the region has to offer.
Alan J Smith, chairman of redboxdesign said: “China is the world’s fastest growing economy and there are clearly opportunities for North East firms to do business there. We have recently witnessed this at first hand.
“In particular, Hunan Province is a dynamic and thriving region with many huge projects underway and under consideration – our aim is to further cultivate and maintain a mutually beneficial relationship, and to share our experience and knowledge in urban regeneration, with our new friends.”
The visit was a return trip following a mission to China in June organized by UKTI, which redboxdesign attended. The Chinese delegation was led by the vice mayor of Zhuzhou, and the director od the European Industrial Park He Jianbo.
