North East to uncover science of success

Dragon’s Den success story Solvej Biddle will be one of the headliners to take part in an event designed to support the region’s entrepreneurial and business talent.

Created to help entrepreneurs unlock the science behind running a successful business, the innovative Science of Success event series will be launched on the 5 September, and heralds the beginning of a new era in the region’s efforts to support the business community.

The series is being held as part of the development of the first regional Business & IP Centre, based on the British Library’s highly acclaimed model in London - which is planned for launch in Newcastle next year.

Solvej Biddle, founder & CEO of Content & Calm, said: “I am looking forward to meeting and speaking to the entrepreneurial community of the North East.

“After being invited to be the guest speaker at the launch of the Science of Success series, I saw it as an opportunity to give an honest talk about what you have to go through to make an idea a reality.”

Newcastle is leading the way in what will be the first in a proposed network of regional centres, and at the forefront of this is a series of events over the next six months under the Science of Success banner.
