New offices for Sunderland surveyors
Chartered surveyors Lofthouse and Partners are expanding with the addition of a new office in Durham on Belmont Business Park.
The Sunderland based firm will use the office to meet increased demand in Durham, Darlington, Bishop Auckland, Teeside, North Yorkshire and the North West.
As one of the longest established independent commercial property practices in the North East, L&P offer property marketing, acquisitions, rent reviews, lease renewals, rating appeals and property management and valuations.
Director Mario Jaconelli explained that the recent sale of the Former United Reform Church on Claypath spurred the expansion.
He said: “Here we had an amazing property located in the cultural heart of Durham. However, the efforts of many agents to target bad and restaurant operators had failed.
“As the building has retained many of its original features, we decided upon a wider marketing strategy when we came on board, and in the end the property was successfully sold to a religious organisation who will continue to use the property as a place of worship following extensive renovation works.”
