New contract for TAG Energy Solutions
TAG Energy Solutions have been awarded another contract to support the UK energy sector.
Wilton Engineering Group have asked the Billingham-based company to produce a test pile which will be used in trial fitting of clamps for DONG Energy’s Siri field in the Danish North Sea.
It also marks the commencement of rolling and welding of large tubulars at the facility.
This contract recognises TAG’s expertise in this area, and will make use of the company’s £8 million manufacturing facility which is capable of rolling and welding large tubulars used in the offshore wind industry.
Alex Dawson, Chief Executive of TAG Energy Solutions, said: “This is a key milestone in the development of TAG Energy Solution’s state-of-the-art Renewables facility.
“We are very pleased that one of our closest neighbors has been the first to recognize the capability of the facility and the quality of the workmanship. Whilst this is a small project it is a significant step in the establishment of high quality production manufacturing for TAG ES on the River Tees.”
