Leadership and Management Advisory Service continues to strengthen

The Leadership and Management Advisory Service provides tailored support, including advice and funding for individual training provision, to senior managers and business leaders in SMEs and social enterprises that have potential for growth and are based in North East England. The service (funded by the Skills Funding Agency) has been run by NBSL since 2004 and provides grant support giving businesses a fantastic opportunity to access specialist help, to develop not only their leadership and management capabilities but also the growth and profitability of their organisations.

The programme has gone from strength to strength over the years, gradually building up the numbers of organisations assisted from just over 100 in the first year to getting on for 2,000 in 2010/11. In total well over 5,000 organisations have been supported over the years.

The skills and capabilities of individual managers in the North East have also been developed with a view to improving the competitiveness of their businesses, their capacity to grow their organisations and employ staff, and their contribution to the economy. Some 8,000 individual managers have benefitted from the programme and well over £3 million has been awarded in the form of grants since the programme began.

Business leaders and managers who have previously received funding of a similar nature in previous programmes are still eligible to re-apply for further support to develop their skills and capabilities under this new programme.

If you employ between 2 – 249 people, run a private sector company or social enterprise, undertake the majority of your business in the Business to Business arena and can show that you have aspirations for growth over the next three years, then you may be eligible for up to £1,000 of funding support from the North East Leadership & Management Advisory Service, matched by a contribution from your business.

Funding is limited so to find out more about eligibility for these great benefits for business call us today on 01670 813322 or go to www.nbsl.org.uk and complete the simple online application form.
