Graduate launches innovative market intelligence tool
A Northumbria University Graduate has launched an innovative new online service to provide businesses with up to date market intelligence.
James Mishreki decided to set up Competitor Monitor to allow companies to track the price of their product in comparison with others on the market, and helps to automate the process of price checking. Once the software is set up it monitors products daily, automatically reporting back to allow companies to see how their products are being priced.
He said: “The launch of my own business is naturally very exciting and I am thrilled our product is now on the market for firms to benefit from.
“We have several clients using our software and most have already experienced a direct increase in sales or margin.”
The product has already come to the attention of AstonParts.com, part of the Aston Martin Restoration Company, who are reaping the benefits of James’ design.
Dean Newsome, head of marketing at Aston Parts commented: “In a very short space of time, we’ve already gained a great deal out of this excellent online tool.
“Not only does it automate our price checking, which frees-up our web team to spend more time on running the business, but it also provides a great daily snapshot of how our products are priced and positioned in the marketplace.
James believes that the product will help businesses to become more proactive in protecting their brand, being more competitive and finding market opportunities.
He added: “Due to this direct return the product delivers to businesses, we have already had significant interest from several blue-chip companies keen to trial the software to help them get a better idea of their market positioning without the hassle of time-consuming manual checking.
“This initial launch is very much the start of our offering to businesses as we have several other product development additions in the pipeline that will allow companies to closely monitor competitor brands online and provide vital business intelligence in a quick, hassle-free, cost-effective manner.”
