Northern businesses set to benefit from partnerships

Organisational development specialists idg have joined forces with a number of key strategic partners to encourage enterprise, create jobs and support business growth across the North of England.

In the current economic climate, businesses are struggling to know where to go for support and advice to help them combat the changes and challenges they are experiencing.

With a strong track record in supporting employers, idg want to help them access this support by working closely with Sector Skills Councils, Chambers of Commerce, Trade organisations and Federations.

Managing Director, Steve Burrows says:

“The development of our partnership model will allow businesses to have a simple access point to a wider range of support tools and techniques whether sector specific or tailored around size or geography.

We are committed to working collaboratively with our partners to ensure that we listen to what employers want and work with them to provide solutions that allow them to realise their full potential. We are delighted to be working with partners who have the same drive, commitment and passion as us to make a difference“.

Partners currently working with idg include:

  • Construction Sector Skills
  • Skills for Justice
  • Proskills
  • Cogent
  • Federation of Small Businesses
  • Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce
  • Skills for Health
  • North East Strategic Health Authority

As the official partner for the North of England, idg is licensed by the UK Commission for Employment & Skills to deliver Investors in People services across the region.

With responsibility for The Standard, the Commission is placing Investors in People at the heart of their agenda to strengthen management, leadership and skills utilisation across the UK.

As a result of these changes there is a new impetus to link Investors in People into bringing about actions for change, galvanising industries and sectors to improve the skills and productivity of their workforce – something which the idg partnerships will help to support.
