Newcastle United legend Beardsley to host free masterclass
Peter Beardsley will be hosting a free masterclass for guests at next week’s EXPOsure event, taking place at The Sports Direct Arena on Thursday 24th May. His masterclass is titled “From Carlisle to Local Hero”.
Peter played between 1979 and 1999 and in that time once set a record transfer fee in the game and represented his country 59 times between 1986 and 1996, once as captain.
He notably played for Newcastle United, Liverpool and Everton, having also had spells with Carlisle United, Manchester United and Vancouver Whitecaps.
He is currently employed as the Reserve Team manager of Newcastle United. He was briefly appointed as the club’s caretaker manager in 2010 and will talk about the business of football, how it has changed and his own experiences of managers.
