West Midlands firms offered advice scheme
Black Country firms are being urged to make the most of the new business support initiative being offered by Marketing Birmingham.
Practical business advice, and workshops on topics such as sales and marketing, and accessing new markets, form part of the initiative.
Firms will also be offered opportunities to attend trade shows and exhibitions, in order to meet new suppliers and customers to grow their network.
Vicki Wilkes, private sector lead on business support for the LEP, said: “We would urge Black Country businesses to get involved with this scheme.
“It offers an opportunity to receive free expert support to help people take their business to the next level.”
Councillor Darren Cooper, leader of the Sandwell Council and LEP board member, said: “One of the key aims of the LEP is to remove barriers to growth.
“Access to business support such as the help on offer through this scheme will help local businesses grow their operations so we would encourage as many as possible to find out more and sign up to the programme.”
SMEs operating in Birmingham, Black Country and Solihull can apply to take part in the scheme, funded through the ERDF Investing in the City Region project.
Due to ERDF regulations, retail and construction businesses are exempt from the scheme.
