Dunelm Homes Part Exchange Helps Paula Move

North East homebuilder Dunelm Homes has made moving easy for Paula Gardner and her Olympic torch-bearer daughter Mica, as the future Olympic hopeful and bobsleigh professional settle into their new home at the Victoria Gardens development in High Spen.

After two frustrating years trying to sell her current home in a difficult resale market, Paula Gardner’s dreams of moving to a new property were fading fast. However, thanks to the Dunelm Homes part exchange scheme, Paula is now the proud owner of a stylish three-bedroom Jasmine townhouse.

Paula said: “I have had my property on the market for quite some time and I was really struggling to see how I would be able to buy somewhere new. The part exchange scheme was ideal and it not only took the stress and hassle of trying to sell my home, but the team at Dunelm Homes were always on hand to help me every step of the way and gave me lots of support and advice when it came to purchasing my new property.”

Part exchange schemes take the uncertainty out of selling a current property and are structured so that an existing property will be purchased by Dunelm Homes, becoming a cash buyer at a fair market price with no estate agents fees to pay. It offers buyers a straightforward solution to moving forward with a home purchase and one which cuts through the property chain simply and quickly.

Paula shares her new home with her daughter Mica, who had the honour of carrying the torch when the relay recently passed through Durham and has aspirations of Olympic gold herself having just won a silver medal as part of the Great Britain two-man bobsleigh crew that competed in the first World Youth Games in Innsbruck in Austria. Mica hopes to represent her country in the 2014 and 2018 Winter Olympic Games.

Paula added, “The layout of the Jasmine property really suits the way we live as a family. Our previous property was open plan but now that my family is older, we are looking for more separate living space to offer a bit more privacy. Having the house over three levels means that we have a real feeling of space and we can come and go about our business without getting in each other’s way.

“The room sizes are also very generous and I particularly like how the dining area opens out onto the decking and into the garden. That really sold it for me and it’s a lovely spot to enjoy a nice drink in the evenings.”

As well as the part exchange scheme, Paula also took advantage of Dunelm Homes’ incentive to pay stamp duty and opted for the Designer Choice package which saw her receive a range of white goods and appliances including a free standing fridge/freezer, washing machine and flat screen HD TV as in addition to being able to select from a stunning range of carpets, vinyl floor coverings and curtains throughout her home.

Paula concluded, “I’m originally from the High Spen area and having returned here after leaving around 20 years ago, I really do feel like I’ve come home and I’m looking forward to just enjoying my wonderful new property.”
