National award for Stratford hotel

A 16th century inn in Stratford has been voted in the top ten of historic hotels in the UK by a popular hotel booking specialist.

The Legacy Falcon Hotel in Chapel Street has been voted at number seven in the top ten historic hotels category by LateRooms.com who used its huge database of genuine customer reviews to compile the awards.

The venue has now been presented with a coveted LateRooms.com Simply the Guest Award which is now on display in its reception area.

The Simply The Guest Awards are the first of their kind from LateRooms.com and recognise properties all over the UK.

Jason Mayglothling, general manager of the Legacy Falcon Hotel, said it was always a great reflection on the property and its staff to gain national recognition.

“To receive positive customer reviews is always a bonus because we pride ourselves on ensuring each guest has a memorable stay,” he said.

“We were praised for our authentic Tudor charm which is apparent from our black and white exterior timber and original slanted windows.

“Guests often comment on our historic charm and this award backs that up. These types of awards recognise the hard work of all our staff and it is a wonderful endorsement of their collective efforts.

“Reading guest reviews are becoming a first port of call for business and leisure guests before making a booking and it is reassuring that are we receiving high scores on areas ranging from our service to cleanliness.

“We won’t be resting on our laurels and we will be working as hard as ever to improve our standards.”
