Work starts on £1m Shiremoor Toby Carvery restaurant
Work has begun on a new £1m Toby Carvery restaurant development in North Tyneside.
The development has come about through a partnership between Northumberland Estates and UK restaurant and pub operator, Mitchells and Butlers.
The 5000 square foot building is located in Shiremoor, close to the A19, Northumberland Park Metro station.
The £1m restaurant, specialising in breakfast and roast dinners, will offer a takeout service and free Wi-Fi
Colin Barnes, Director of Planning and Development at The Northumberland Estates said: “We are delighted to work with Mitchells and Butlers to offer this first-class dining experience in North Tyneside.
“The Toby Carvery brand is synonymous with quality and we are sure that the restaurant will be a valuable addition to the many amenities that are already in the area.”
“Preparation for construction of the restaurant has already begun and we anticipate the restaurant will be open around September 2013.”
