TASTECLUB champions ‘Sausage Summer’
A limited edition collection of the Great North’s finest gourmet sausages has been launched by TASTECLUB, a Northumberland-based business which represents the north’s leading food and drink talents.
The Sausage Summer collection brings together some of the region’s top quality sausages, with something to suit all tastes and dietary requirements.
The Northumberland Sausage Company has several products featured, including a selection of classic pork, gluten-free and exotic sausages. The exotic sausage collection is made up of unusual flavours such as llama and lavender and pork and locust – perfect for impressing guests at a BBQ.
Additionally, there are sausage making classes, which can be purchased or given as a gift, for a hands-on experience and an insight into the process of making a gourmet sausage.
Also taking part in Sausage Summer is Dropswell Farm Shop. Its continental sausage range contains five of its most popular flavours, including Merguez (spicy African lamb) and Andouille (heavily spiced and smoky).
The collection includes tasty accompaniments too, like the award-winning chutneys from JR Jams, rustic sweet chilli sauce from Red Rascal, and Carwinley Preserves’ savoury additions – chilli mango, Roman Emperor’s and Border Reivers chutneys.
Jane Hogan, chief executive of TASTECLUB, says: “Since the launch of our luxury online gift store, sausages have been one of our best-selling products, so we know that there is an appetite for gourmet sausages from the Great North. As the weather has been unusually good this summer, we wanted to source a selection of both the traditional and the more exotic sausages that would be ideal for BBQs.
“The Sausage Summer collection also features not-to-be-missed sausage making experiences, which have already proved very popular.”
Consumers can sign up to TASTECLUB free of charge to be the first to find out about upcoming collections, special offers and competitions.
