Former Barclays director for NRG chief spot
North East recruitment firm, NRG, has appointed a former Barclays Bank director as its new chief executive.
The Board of Northern Recruitment Group yesterday announced that Chris Rigg will take up the post from the beginning of October as current chief executive and founder, Lorna Moran, will move to the position of chairman.
Chris joins NRG from Barclays Bank where he was corporate director for the North East team with responsibility for larger corporate clients.
Prior to his role at Barclays, Chris worked for Eaga plc where he was group corporate finance director and managing director of Eaga Clean Energy Limited.
Lorna Moran commented: “Chris brings a wealth of business experience to the role and the Board is confident that he and Managing Director Therese Liddle will drive NRG forward in the coming years.”
She added: “I am still passionate about the North East so I’ll remain very active in helping businesses in the region to grow by finding the right people for them, but I know that Chris and Therese (Liddle, managing director) will make a great job of running and developing the business for the future.”
