John Lewis Liverpool ONE recruiting for Christmas
Recruitment is underway at the John Lewis store in Liverpool ONE for temporary sales assistants in the run-up to Christmas.
The store is looking to bring in 160 new staff, which the company calls ‘partners’, to assist in dealing with the seasonal rush.
Positions are available in a number of departments including the Christmas shop, furnishing accessories, homeware, fashion and electricals.
Kathy Roberts, personnel manager at John Lewis Liverpool, said: “Christmas is a really exciting time to be a partner at John Lewis.
“We look for enthusiastic people who understand the importance of making sure every customer receives a high level of customer service.
“Whether you’re helping a customer find the perfect present for a loved one or advising on table decorations for Christmas dinner, a customer’s experience whilst in store needs to be as smooth as possible.”
John Lewis announced yesterday it will hire more than 2,000 temporary staff in its stores across the country, in a variety of different departments.
Laura Whyte, the firm’s personnel director, said: “Christmas is an extremely important and busy time of the year for the business and it is essential that we have a strong and committed workforce in place early.”
