Jones Sheridan acquires wealth management outfit
Crewe-based Jones Sheridan Financial Consulting has purchased Congleton-based Wealth and Trustee Management following a string of other acquisitions.
Their acquisition trail began with Warrington-based Kevin Garner Financial Services, followed by Staffordshire-based Brown & Corbishley Financial Services, Haslington-based Mike Taylor Financial Services, Macclesfield’s Premier Financial Associates and the client base of Sandbach-based Peter and Irene Burgess, trading as Harcourt.
This acquisition increases their funds under management to circa £350m and an additional 300 new clients.
Wealth and Trustee managing director, Richard Watson, said: “I was looking to exit the business but wanted to feel confident that my clients would continue to receive the best possible advice and support from a local firm of financial advisers.
“I wanted to partner with a business which I felt was equipped to deal with any industry challenges that lay ahead and Jones Sheridan had more than 30 years experience and a proven track record of successful acquisitions under their belt.”
At Jones Sheridan, the successful acquisition prompted the appointment of Chartered Financial Planner, Jon Hall, who will be responsible for overseeing the smooth transition of the Wealth and Trustee clients into Jones Sheridan.
Speaking about the move, managing director of Jones Sheridan, David Williams, added: “Wealth and Trustee Management have a good reputation in the local area and we’ve built up a good rapport and understanding of their business.
“We look forward to delivering an exceptional service to all their clients and to continue working closely with Wealth & Trustee limited during a transitional period of 12 months.”
