Investors in People Celebrations for Halton Housing Trust

Over 200 employees from Halton Housing Trust came together to enjoy a day of showcasing and celebration after they were presented with their Investors in People Gold award at a fun packed day at the Trust’s Widnes base.

An eye-catching new van fleet was also unveiled, complete with a refreshed livery design, as well as an updated, brighter and more practical uniform for the Trust’s maintenance technicians.

Trust teams proudly showcased their work, plans and achievements at the Foundry Lane office, manning stands complete with games and raffles, raising over £1100 for the Trust’s nominated charity for this year the Alzheimer’s Society. The Trust’s IT team also held a ‘Top Gear’ computer driving competition, with the fastest driver winning a computer tablet, whilst the popular Olive Tree bistro cooked up a traditional ‘scouse’ stew.

Noel Sharpe, executive director of customer services said:

“It was fantastic to see colleagues come together and celebrate our achievements. The day was great fun and it gave everyone the opportunity to come together, something we don’t get a chance to do very often and to meet some of our community partners such as Power in Partnership.

“The Trust is extremely proud to receive Investors in People Gold and the new Health and Wellbeing Award, which confirms that the Trust is a fantastic place to work, providing first class service to our customers and communities – we are very excited about what the future holds.“

It’s the first time in the Trust’s eight year history that it has reached the prestigious Gold Status, the highest level of award that can be issued to an organisation. Assessed in mid-June, the Trust was noted to have excellent levels of leadership, employee engagement and continuous improvement methods in place.
