New homes coming soon to the former Kays depot site

Work is well underway to build 158 much needed new homes in the St. John’s area of Worcester.

Leading house builder, Persimmon Homes, South Midlands, was granted planning permission to build the homes, on the former Kays Catalogue site, back in February 2013. The 10-acre parcel of land has been dormant since the depot closed back in 2006 and it is anticipated that demand for the new homes will be high.

As Alison Reading, sales and marketing director at Persimmon Homes South Midlands, explained: “We are investing £28 million pounds in the construction of the new homes at the Persimmon Heights development on Bransford Road.

“The collection of properties will provide a mixture of two, three and four bedroom homes, ideal for first-time buyers looking for a starter home through to larger properties for growing families and people who simply want a bit more space.”
