Robbie Savage called up for World Cup duty – by Kitbag.com
Cheshire-based online sports retailer, Kitbag.com, has announced the extension of its contract with current brand ambassador, Robbie Savage – and they’ll be backing him Brazil.
In December 2012 the retired footballer and pundit signed a one year agreement to be the face of Kitbag.com and feature in the brand’s various marketing campaigns. Following many successful events, projects and endorsements, both parties decided to extend the partnership for a further 12 months.
The next stage of the contract will see Mr Savage continue to help Kitbag.com raise its profile among its core target audience of 17 to 25-year-olds.
He will take part in further PR and social media campaigns, as well as exclusive events for Kitbag.com customers. He has also been signed up to be Kitbag.com’s roaming reporter in Brazil during the summer months.
Andy Anson, chief executive officer of Kitbag said: “Working with Robbie has proved to be a great success; he’s a charismatic character with a superb sense of fun and his credibility as a sports star has helped Kitbag.com build its reputation across the sporting industry.
“Kitbag is trusted by the sports trade to provide customers with the best and latest products and delivery services across the globe and Robbie has helped us to communicate that message to sports fans worldwide. We look forward to continuing to work with Robbie on the numerous exciting campaigns planned for 2014.”
Robbie Savage added: “I’ve really enjoyed working with Kitbag.com over the past year. It is one of the best sport retailers in the world and a great place for sport fans to shop for the latest gear and fan-wear.
“I trust Kitbag.com’s expertise and happily recommend its products and distribution services to fans, colleagues and family and I’m looking forward to working with them again in 2014.
