Optare announces £3.6 million order from Nottingham Council
Optare has announced that it has received an order for a total of 17 Solo electric buses at a value of £3.6 million from Nottingham City Council.
The order was partially funded by round 4 of the Government’s Green Bus fund, an initiative which helps authorities and bus companies buy and make low carbon buses.
Last year Nottingham was awarded over £1.5 million in round 4 of the initiative which was said to have been able to provide 15 buses.
Delivery of the vehicles will commence in July 2014.
