Hospitality guaranteed raising money for Great North Air Ambulance
On Sunday 27th April, Hospitality Guaranteed (HG), a venue sourcing and management service challenged themselves to participate in the Stockton Duathlon Festival, at Stockton Riverside.
The event was run over three distances starting with Novice, Sprint and Standard enticing not just athlete performers, but also complete beginners to take part.
While some raced to win, others like HG saw the Duathlon as a personal challenge or just for fun, raising money for their chosen charity.
Hospitality Guaranteed, this year, chose to fundraise for the Great North Air Ambulance (GNAA), a charity serving Cumbria, the North East and North Yorkshire 365 days a year. They rely on £4m to be raised each year to keep their three helicopters flying.
The Sprint distance of the event included a 5k run, 20k cycle and 2k run. HG entered six members of their 13 employees to make up two teams of three, each completing one part of the Duathlon.
Their aim was to work together as a team and raise at least £500. They set up a JustGiving page to encourage friends and family to sponsor them to swap their heels to trainers, and push themselves beyond the comfort of their work desks.
So far they have raised £356 taking both teams 2 hours to complete the challenge in the cold, fog and rain.
If you would like to help Hospitality Guaranteed reach £500 and also support the GNAA to £4m, then go to http://www.justgiving.com/Hospitality-Guaranteed all donations are welcome.
