Seaham hall’s Serenity Spa named one of the best in the world

THE spa at a prestigious North East hotel has been voted one of the best in the world.

The award-winning Serenity Spa at five star Seaham Hall, County Durham, was the only spa in the region to be included in the Top Santé 100 best spas list – placing it alongside world famous venues such as Babington House in Somerset and the renowned The Ashram in California.

The Serenity Spa, which has an eastern influence and extends over three floors, boasts a range of facilities including a crystal light sanarium, a black granite steam room and a 20 metre massage pool.

In its listing within Top Santé’s Country Escape category, particular mention is also made of its garden view therapy rooms, where therapists provide face and body treatments using either Elemis or Darphin products.

“We are delighted, although not entirely surprised, to be included in this list,” said Seaham Hall’s general manager Ross Grieve.

“From the outdoor hot tubs, overlooking our 37 acre grounds, to the immense thought and attention to detail that has gone into every aspect of Serenity Spa, it really is a very special place. I defy anyone not to leave feeling totally soothed and refreshed.”

Membership of the Serenity Spa includes full use of the gym and costs £150 per month for an individual, £275 per month for joint membership and £325 per month for a family. …mf
