KLM increases capacity at Leeds Bradford Airport

KLM Cityhopper has increased its capacity at Leeds Bradford Airport with the introduction of a new larger aircraft, the Embraer 190, on its regular services to Amsterdam Schiphol, offering an additional thousand seats each week.

The Embraer 190 is more fuel-efficient, has lower carbon emissions, and offers greater passenger comfort alongside more room for carry-on baggage.

The Embraer flies faster and offers greater capacity than the Fokker 70 which previously serviced the route, increasing the maximum load from 80 to 100 per flight.

Tony Hallwood, aviation development & marketing director at Leeds Bradford Airport, said: “We welcome the introduction of the Embraer 190 at Leeds Bradford operating to Amsterdam Schiphol.

“KLM is one of the longest established airlines at LBA and this new aircraft will soon become a firm favourite for business and leisure travellers alike.”
