Malhotra hotel group invests £3 million in double Newcastle hotel refurbishments

Two hotels, owned by Newcastle-based Malhotra Group, have been given a £3 million refurbishment to appeal to corporate clients.

The Grey Street Hotel at Newcastle city centre and The New Northumbria Hotel, Osborne Road, Jesmond, have both unveiled a raft of facilities designed to appeal to corporate clients in search of a meeting or event venue.

Corporate packages are also available at each hotel for clients wishing to host team building activities, interviews, networking events and social events, while each site also offers access to local gyms and discounted spa treatments at nearby venues.

Both hotels are also served by restaurants, which are popular in their own right: the Living Room, at the Grey Street Hotel and the recently re-launched Scalini’s Italian restaurant at The New Northumbria Hotel.

Over the coming months the rolling refurbishment programme will result in the further remodelling of bedrooms at both venues and the creation of additional bedrooms at the New Northumbria Hotel.
