Manchester Fort shopping park celebrates a raft of award wins
Manchester Fort shopping park, located on Cheetham Hill road, has been awarded an Environmental Business Pledge Award from Manchester City Council.
Developed by Manchester City Council in partnership with Groundwork, the Environmental Business Pledge is a free advice and award scheme designed to help organisations in Manchester improve their environmental performance and generate cost savings.
The Shopping Park was awarded the Bronze level award which recognises existing environmental performance and sets a baseline against which to measure improvement.
The Shopping Park has also picked up a Safer Parking Scheme (SPS) Park Mark Award for its measures in providing safe and secure parking for all customers across its many parking spaces.
The Safer Parking Scheme is an initiative of the Association of Chief Police Officers aimed at reducing crime and the fear of crime in parking facilities.
Safer parking status, Park Mark®, is awarded to parking facilities that have met the requirements of a risk assessment conducted by the Police.
Marie Gribben from Manchester Fort commented; “These awards are testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team across the shopping park. We look to build upon this recognition to further improve our green credentials and hopefully achieve both the silver and gold pledge award in the near future.”
