Swansway Scales Top Track 250
North West based, award winning, family owned and run Swansway Group, has risen up the Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 for the fifth consecutive year.
Published this weekend, the annual Top Track 250 league table ranks Britain’s leading private mid-market growth companies with the biggest sales.Entering the Top Track 250 in 2010 at 190th, Swansway Group has improved its position year after year, this year reaching 58th in the league table.
Carl Williams, North West managing partner of Grant Thornton UK LLP, one of the sponsors of the Top Track 250, praised the North West based companies for their performance: “Our region is home to some of Europe’s most dynamic businesses and the success of North West firms is rightly celebrated by Top Track 250. The mid-market is a powerful engine for the UK economy”.
A delighted Peter Smyth, pictured on the left, commented; “It’s great to see that as well as growing year on year, we are outperforming the market and rising up the Top Track 250 too. Swansway Group employs 700 people in the region, with sites from Preston to Birmingham.
