Eventful launch at Seaham Town Hall
NORTH EAST BUSINESSES got their first opportunity to see a new events space at a launch this week.
Seaham Town Hall, the result of a £1m investment, is being operated by Durham-based Oldfields Events which will be running the catering and organising conferences, celebrations and meetings at the venue.
The building – at Seaham Town Park, Station Road -can take up to 300 for an event, with a number of smaller rooms which can be laid out in a variety of ways.
The Mayor of Seaham, Cllr Bruce Burn Snr said the new building was a “huge asset to the town.”
“This is a new venture for us and one which we’re very proud of,” he said.
“The use of the play park has exceeded our expectations and now we have a fantastic venue which we hope the people of Seaham will embrace.”
People from across the town can also get the opportunity to see the venue with a free Christmas fun day being held from noon until 3pm on Sunday December 7.
Activities include Santa and his reindeer, face painting, craft stalls, entertainment and cartoon characters.
“Seaham Town Hall is a very versatile venue and we’re sure that people will be thrilled when they see it,” said Bill Oldfield of Oldfields Events.
