Lake District cottage company reports revenue of £3.7 million
Lake District-based cottage company, Sally’s Cottages has reported revenue of £3.7 million and a 30% increase in bookings.
The local holiday lettings agency has plans for further expansion in 2015 with a new business development strategy and a growing team.
Sally’s Cottages is a holiday lettings agency with over 300 Lake District and Cumbrian cottages in its portfolio.
Sally Fielding founded the company in 2003, with one cottage and £1000 in the bank to set up.
The agency now has 12 staff in its Keswick office plus over 50 self-employed cleaners.
The agency was the first in Cumbria to build a mobile and tablet responsive website and the number of customers now visiting their website on their mobile phone was up by 116% as 2014 ended.
This year, the company will be looking to further enhance their website experience for mobile phone users.
Owner, Sally Fielding said: “This year is set to be our biggest, best and most creative year yet and this January we have already achieved a record number of bookings.
“Those who remember the moment we took a desk up Blencathra, can look forward to new stunts that showcase the magic of the Lakes.
“We’re excited to have our New Cottages Manager on board to help expand our portfolio even further and continue delivering fantastic and personal customer service.”
